La Cima Residential

Architecture

La Cima is a house of 340 square meters located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. The house is designed to follow the topography of the mountain and to limit intervention in the terrain. Sustainability, airtightness and self-sufficiency guide the design. Orientation was set according to the local climate and sunlight, following bioclimatic principles. Large glass facades frame views of the mountains, the city and the sea, while the greenhouse effect and the Venturi effect help regulate indoor temperature. Local natural stone, teak wood and roof solar panels are used.
