Open and Wild Greenway

Landscape Design

Open and Wild is a public greenway section in Wuhan, China, and forms part of the first phase of the East Lake greenway. The section covers about 310 hectares with Moshan Park at its core. The planning concept, Making the City Quiet, guides a route that leads from the lake to the forest and offers changing spatial experiences. Existing landscape features and roads of Moshan are preserved to retain historical memory. Buildings, lighting, signs, rest facilities and paving are designed in detail. The revetment design protects the water environment and the natural vegetation.
